More good news on the efforts to repeal the 3% income tax withholding on State and Federal projects over $10,000.  Last Thursday, November 10th, the Senate passed H.R. 674 and it now goes back to the House.  The amended bill will go back to the House.  President Obama has stated his support and will evidently sign the bill.  If the 3% withholding law is not repealed, starting January 1, 2013, all federal and state contracts for goods and services will be subject to a 3 percent income tax withholding on each and every payment over $10,000 to a contractor.
